The primary purpose of the Simulation Centre Officer is to provide technical support to the clinical skills in both the low and high fidelity simulation program and administer school resources and facilities. To actively contribute in the effective, safe and efficient running of the nursing skills simulation classes and assist with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standard improvement across the School.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Prepare Simulation Centre, including high fidelity suite, for timetabled practical classes, ensuring rooms are set up according to the academic staff requirements and instructions, and all equipment and consumable items are available
- Regularly assess consumable stock holdings and purchase, as required, appropriate equipment and consumable supplies required for nursing and midwifery simulation classes, as per University Finance process
- Run scenarios for the high fidelity simulation clinical skills program as directed by Academic Unit Team staff with Simulation Centre Team leader
- Maintain and schedule servicing of specialised equipment as required manner complying with OHS policies and instruct staff and students on School OHS procedures
- Take personal responsibility and show initiative to meeting goals and objectives contributing to an inclusive team environment
- Actively participate and contribute to the University and Faculty OHS committees and coordinate School OHS inspections to meet University policy timelines
- Undergo training and lead as a School campus Fire Warden and First Aid Office
- Adopt new ideas and approaches and learn from various points of view and confirm understanding
- Recognise the importance of teamwork and of effective communication amongst team members and build rapport within immediate team in ways that are respectful and inclusive of others

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Experience in working in a Simulation Centre or Healthcare organisation
- Experience providing services and support in a large organisation
