**Position Information**:
Chifley College Bidwill Campus is a comprehensive 7-12 campus in Chifley College, located in Western Sydney on the land of the Darug people. We share our site with Bidwill Public School and Bidwill Preschool, giving us a uniquely family oriented, community atmosphere and culture. A support unit is also part of our school. Current enrolment is 670, which has been steadily growing over the last five years. Approximately 23% of students are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and approximately 40% of students are Pasifika.
Our school embeds Positive Behaviour for Learning and builds its identity and sense of community on the core values of Responsibility, Learning and Respect. This is complemented with our commitment to Choice Theory as a guiding principle. All teaching and learning programs, and all wellbeing initiatives, are designed to reinforce these values and support students in their social, personal and academic growth.
Staff are committed to working together as a cohesive and collaborative team. The three strategic directions in our current Strategic Improvement Plan (SIP) include Student Growth and Attainment, Inclusive Learning Culture, and Innovative Learning Partnerships

- Demonstrated highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills to build productive relationships which support effective case management approaches to student wellbeing, ensuring every student is known, valued, and cared for at school.
- Capacity to lead the management and implementation of the inclusive, Engaging and Respectful Schools policy.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage complex student wellbeing matters to achieve academic and wellbeing growth.
- Demonstrated capacity to work as a leader and collaborative member of the school Executive Team to plan, implement and review strategies to improve practice to support complex student needs.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
