**Your new role awaits**
The Major Account Manager **(based in Brisbane)** is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and revenue growth from within a portfolio of designated key customers within a defined territory. You will take value in spending quality face to face time with the customer to gain insight and deeply qualify the customer’s business, strategic plan and equipment hire needs, and use this to deliver equipment solutions which are mutually beneficial to Coates and the customer. This role is directly responsible for customer relationships and revenue.
**A typical day will include**
- Demonstrate Safety Leadership by leading and contributing to the Coates Safety First - Zero Harm safety culture.
- Actively contribute to the company strategy to grow revenue by deeply understanding the market and the customer, while delivering effective solutions.
- Target and tactfully engaging with key customers and decision makers
- Ensure all solutions presented to customers reflect commercially favourable terms and conditions and are consistent with the Coates strategic plan.
- Drive and effectively pursue all new business / sales leads and opportunities.
- Ensure the team sells the Coates value proposition, using it as a key differentiator across all customer portfolios.
- Actively seek out intelligence about business trends in the market and competitor activities
- Build and maintain strong business partner relationships that will convert to long term revenue benefits to Coates
**What you will bring to the role**
- Ability to provide profitable solutions tailored to customer needs
- Excellent business planning, strategy development and communication skills
- Excellent leadership, planning, time and priority management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work within a fast paced and dynamic results driven environment
- Relevant and proven successful experience in sales or similar role
- High level of negotiation skills
