Head of Finance Operations

Our client is looking for a Head of Finance Operations for a 3-month contract with an immediate start.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the main responsibilities of the role are:
Financial Administration
- Provides the necessary documentation to complete an audit.
- Supervises periodic audits of the company’s accounts.
- Monthly invoicing of tenants and reconciliation/invoicing of utilities.
- Invoicing and recovery of costs.
- Accurate recording of transactions in the accounting system.
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, treasury (cash management) functions and general financial processing

Banking and Cashflow
- Management of the company’s different bank balances ensuring compliance with the company’s banking obligations.
- Ensure timely payment of amounts due to creditors and other institutions meeting the company’s contractual obligations.
- Ensure timely receipt of amounts due from the company’s debtors and other institutions.
- Process and manage the weekly and monthly payment run.
- Administer the banking operations of the business within a framework of accepted internal control procedures.

Payroll
- Prepare all Tax, Business Activity Statements and process through ATO / ASIC.
- Maintaining payroll - performing all essential duties relating to payroll and the payroll system ensuring confidentiality and privacy of employee
- Administration of the Payroll function of the business.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (or similar).
- CPA or CA qualified
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems (preferably SAP Business One)
- Fully IT literate: Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word,, PowerPoint) with strong knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to liaise across all management levels.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience
