**Role Details**:
The Finance Business Partner is a role within Finance and is accountable to the Senior Finance Business Partner for:

- providing a high-quality support service by partnering with stakeholders in assigned portfolio area regarding financial matters;
- preparing, developing and analysing key financial information to enable management decision making to support the portfolio’s financial sustainability;
- undertaking a range of operational activities that contribute to effective financial management.
- accurately producing financial statements, budgets and forecasts; and
- controlling and coordinating elements of financial related projects within the Department of Human Services (DHS).

Key Outcomes and Accountabilities:

- Provide expert financial advice and partner in management decision making to influence local operations.
- Review the financial performance of local operations to determine their effectiveness and recommend corrective action as required.
- Meet key government timelines in relation to Annual State Budget process, Mid-Year Budget Review, and Monthly / Quarterly Budget monitoring.
- Provide accurate and timely annual and special purpose financial statements in accordance with Accounting Standards, Treasurer’s Instructions and Audit requirements.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data and efficiency of systems supporting the financial management function.
- Provide input into cabinet submissions, ministerial briefings, budget papers, coordinate briefings and other relevant documentation as required.
- Develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder communications, relationships and partnerships.

Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department. The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.

**About the Business**:
Finance and Business Services leads the monitoring and management of the department’s financial data, execute a range of financial authorisations and compliance, provide strategic financial advice, lead financial reform projects, and oversee assets and facilities, fleet, records management and internal audit services.

The division is a key component in ensuring our department is compliant and accountable, and ultimately helps enable us to deliver effective services and supports for the South Australian community

**Salary Range**: $83,273 - $92,614
