**Have you just graduated university and ready to kick start your career or are you looking for a new career change? Downer Rail & Transit System have an opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to come and provide support at our Auburn AMC **facility.**

**Role Purpose**

We are looking for a junior/graduate to come join our highly skilled team as a purchasing officer at our Auburn AMC Facility. The role of Purchasing officer is responsible for performing purchasing and inventory activities covering a diverse range of goods and services across the TLS business. The role will manage key relationships with facilities/operations and engineering in accordance with purchasing and procurement guidelines. In this busy and varied role you will focus on maintaining the business objectives across your buying area of responsibility for assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and regulatory compliance, and ensuring that policies and processes are followed in relation to all purchasing activities (P2P process).

You will evaluate quotations received from PR's raised from the business and ensure recommended vendors are used, process and workflow through to gain PO approvals. You will also be responsible for a range of other tasks including maintaining accurate master data and ensuring the systems are up to date reflecting accurate lead times, Min/Max levels, Safety stock, delivery dates and vendor information.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Loves a challenge and is willing and wanting to learn.
