**Job description**:
2XM Recruit are currently seeking a
**Material Analyst **on a contract basis in the Western Sydney suburbs.

**Role**: Material Analyst
**Location**: Western Sydney
**Job type**: Casual contract
**Rate**: $59 p/h
**Length of contract**: 7 months (chance of extension)
As a Material Analyst, you will be responsible for creating and sustaining efficient material supply processes to meet maintenance demands at L3C and depots. This involves data analysis, system management, status monitoring, and managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
**Duties**:

- Develop dashboards to monitor and improve Material Master discrepancies and ICR/MDAR processes.
- Regularly review Task lists, P-BOMs, BOMs, and Safety Stock for accuracy and optimization.
- Analyse and resolve material issues for stopped vehicles, ensuring fast resolutions and preventive measures.
- Manage material demand planning, WIP valuation, and Rotable 12-month forecast.
- Expedite resolution of defective material claims and address disputes promptly.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to stock management and replenishment cycles.
- Act as the contact for engineering and planning updates in SAP Purchasing BOM.
- Streamline BOM review process and ensure regular updates for all purchasing BOMs.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as directed by the Strategic Planning and Inventory Manager.

**Experience required**:

- 5+ years of Materials and/or production management experience, including practical process management knowledge
- Strong SAP experience
- Proficient in stock control, inventory, and warranty systems
- Strong statistical reporting and analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written) with strong negotiation and influencing abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, defense, avionics or any other safety critical environment (advantageous)
