**About this role**

The Governance and Risk Officer provides high level support to the functions and objectives of the HPCA Corporate Governance team. This role achieves this by undertaking programs of work, projects, activities, research and providing advice in relation to risk management and governance to meet the Health Professional Councils Authority's (HPCA) objectives.

**Crown Clerk 7/8, salary from $106.025 - $117,363 plus Super and annual leave loading**

**What you'll be doing**
- Provide secretariat support to the relevant corporate governance committees and meetings.
- Give advice and support to the HPCAs internal audit program, enterprise risk framework, council member appointment and induction program and annual reporting obligations.
- Establish administrative processes and procedures to ensure compliance in relation to the corporate governance framework and maintaining accurate records and appropriate filing.
- Monitor the HPCAs and Councils performance against key metrics and prepare reports which identify trends or areas which require action or escalation.
- Maintain key governance registers including Public Interest Disclosures, GIPAs, and relevant policies of the Councils and HPCA.

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health. We play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the 15 NSW Health Professional Councils in managing complaints about NSW health practitioners.

The position is based at the HPCA Pitt Street offices, located only a short walking distance from Central Station and Belmore Park. There are a number of facilities located within the building, including a food court, a rooftop garden, yoga and Pilates sessions, end of trip amenities, including bike storage.
