**How will I help?**

We have an exciting opportunity in the Practice Management team of Westpac Group Audit. This role plays a key role in a high performing team whereby you will promote sound audit practices by conducting quality assurance reviews and identifying areas for remediation and opportunities for enhancement. Flexible working arrangements are available in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA.

This role will report directly to the Director, Audit Practices, and major accountabilities include:

- Conduct internal quality assurance (QA) reviews of audit files and issue management in line with Group Audit’s Quality Assurance and Improvement Program.
- Lead meetings with various audit teams, including senior staff members, and discuss QA observations.
- Track QA observations and validate related corrective actions arising from QA reviews.
- Facilitate training to the Group Audit on QA themes and findings.
- Complete self-assessments against Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) standards and guidance.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and data interrogation on a range of topics for the Practice Management team.
- Participate in Group Audit Strategic Priorities and home team continuous improvement initiatives.

**What do I need?**
- CIA, CPA/CA or similar certifications preferred.
- Experience in internal audit, compliance, or internal controls experience
- Working knowledge of internal audit methodologies and the Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework.
- Experience reviewing/providing feedback on work performed by others.
- Experience in the financial services industry and/or SOX controls testing preferred.
