**About QIMR Berghofer**:
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Brain and Mental Health, and Population Health. Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.

**About Safety and Wellbeing**:
The Safety and Wellbeing Team promotes the highest standards of safety and wellbeing of all persons working at the Institute. The team provides training and advice in order to drive a positive safety culture and supports all personnel and management to ensure the Institute to complies with its work health and safety obligations.

**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**:

- Psychosocial Risk Management: Develop and support the implementation of the Institute’s psychosocial risk management framework.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with various departments, external providers, and stakeholders to coordinate wellbeing initiatives and ensure they are effectively communicated and implemented across the Institute.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Assist the Institute in meeting its legislated duties in regards to psychological safety.
- Program Development and Implementation: Investigate, design, implement and promote wellbeing initiatives that meet the needs of Institute personnel.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly review psychosocial risk controls and wellbeing initiatives to assess their effectiveness and use the data to inform continuous improvement.
- Policies and Procedures: Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures that promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Education and Training: Develop and maintain resources and information on the Institute's intranet or wellbeing portal to support to support health and wellbeing.
- Budget Management: Manage the budget for wellbeing initiatives, ensuring resources are used effectively to achieve desired outcomes

**About you**:
You will have a Qualification in a relevant field such as health science, social work, clinical or organisational psychology, or counselling (or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge and experience) as well as demonstrated experience in identifying and managing psychosocial hazards in a corporate environment. You will have experience in investigating, designing and implementing wellbeing initiatives.

You will bring excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to this role, as well as the ability to build rapport at all levels. Experience collating and analysing data is essential, as is preparing reports and procedures for health and wellbeing management. Your well-developed organisational skills will compliment your ability to prioritise and time manage in this role.

**Remuneration**:Salary range is $99,306 to $108,037 p.a. plus super and generous salary packaging. This is a permanent, full-time appointment.
