**About the Roles**

The Ministerial and Parliamentary Services Team (MPS) supports the Minister for Enterprise, Investment and Trade, Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, the Minister for Arts, and the Minister for Hospitality and Racing and the Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade by coordinating and reviewing correspondence, briefs and Parliamentary requests and providing timely advice to the Ministers’ offices, the Secretary’s office and operational groups across the Department.

The Ministerial and Parliamentary Services team is at the centre of the Department, sitting within the Office of the Secretary. The Office of the Secretary oversees the effective functioning of the Enterprise, Investment and Trade cluster, and plays a key role in supporting the Secretary and the Department to achieve their strategic goals.

The Associate, MPS operates within a fast-paced, high-volume environment where no two days are the same. The Associate is responsible for managing, reviewing, and delivering a broad range of Parliamentary, Executive and Ministerial correspondence documents and services, and liaising with the Ministers’ offices and business areas within the Department. The Associate, MPS is required to take initiative to quickly understand the issues and content presented and advise and support the relevant business area to respond. The roles give a fascinating insight into the functioning of government and the interaction between departments and their Ministers.

**About You**

You are a motivated and proactive individual who prides yourself on your excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex issues. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and thrive on having variety in your role.

A background in policy would be highly advantageous.

Previous government experience or knowledge of government and parliamentary processes will be highly regarded.
