**Mission**:
Our **Energy Management Department** is looking for a **Energy Markets Analyst **to join its Markets team.

Neoen currently has over 3 GW of wind, solar and battery storage assets in operations in Australia, and aims to reach 5 GW of assets in operations or under construction by 2025. The Energy Management team mission is to optimize operating assets in the energy markets and to support Neoen’s commercial expansion plans. The team is defined by a combination of market expertise and advanced quantitative capabilities.

The Energy Markets Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

- **Perform Market analysis**:

- Monitor and analyse market activity and market performances of our operating assets
- Deliver data-driven analysis and reports to Neoen Australia Senior Management
- Develop and implement tools to automatize market monitoring and reporting
- **Expand our internal modelling capabilities**:

- Assess market fundamentals and trends, and evaluate impacts for Neoen’s portfolio of assets (wind and solar cannibalization, negative prices )
- Combine market data (Futures) and long-term power market forecasts to simulate future markets prices

Start date: March 2024 at the earliest

**Profil**:

- EU citizenship is required to qualify for the VIE program
- Master's degree student in engineering, applied mathematics, data or computer science
- Experience or strong interest for the energy industry
- Python capabilities
- Data analysis (SQL/Pandas) and visualisation (Matplotlib/Plotly or equivalent)
- Good analytical skills
- On the soft skills side, we are looking for someone proactive and curious, with good communication skills and strong appetite for innovation and international collaboration
- Fluent in English
