**The Opportunity**:
This is an opportunity to support Workforce Planning capability to the whole of department. Projects such as the implementation of the Strategic Workforce Plan and Reopening the Borders are the key priorities for this section.

You will work under the supervision of the Assistant Director to liaise with business areas to understand their individual workforce challenges and opportunities, and then link these to the broader strategic direction. High quality data reporting, modelling and analysis is key to this role, to assist in enabling the section to provide support to the broader department to achieve a greater understanding of workforce data and influence executive decision making.

**The Role**:
As the APS5 Workforce Reporting Analyst, you will provide workforce analytics and reporting for executives, senior managers and peers to enable informed decision making. By undertaking research and interpreting information you will identify emerging issues and risks to organisational capability and provide explanation and recommendations on appropriate solutions. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Supporting projects, including developing plans, identifying and coordinating resources to deliver programs and initiatives that meet organisational workforce analysis needs
- Developing and improving workforce systems and analytics within the constraints of the existing workforce systems, statutory and government reporting requirements
- Investigating and analysing data to identify errors and system issues and work with relevant areas including working with external providers
- Identifying workforce opportunities and challenges to build succession plans
- Developing strong client and team relationships to ensure analytics are effectively managed
- Monitoring and reviewing programs and their implementation to prepare internal and external reports to inform management of performance and support decision making in relation to the workforce analysis function
