Business Development Executive

- We’re on the hunt for a **Business Development Executive (Sponsorship & Events)** to join our NSW Sponsorship & Events (S&E) team. In this role you will contribute to our state sponsorship & events strategy by identifying and securing new event sales opportunities as well as managing some of our key existing customers. This is an incredible opportunity to progress your sales career within a leading FMCG organisation.
- This role will be based out of our York Street Office in Sydney and reports into our NSW State Sponsorship & Events Leader.
- **What does a day in the life of a Business Development Executive look like?**
- You will work closely with our brand teams ensuring all events are executed as per brand standards and in line with state S&E strategy.
- You will hunt for new event sales opportunities across new and existing customers, always looking for untapped opportunities across the state.
- You will evaluate and action new sponsorship submissions in line with our investment guidelines.
- You will get the opportunity to account manage some of our key customer accounts and attend Joint Customer Business Planning sessions, giving you stretch to develop your account management skills.
- You will pull together pitch decks for new deals to present to the S&E Leadership team and customers.
**What are we looking for?**
- Customer and consumer obsessed individual, you’ll be driven to build effective and strong customer partnerships.
- Sales experience: You may come from a FMCG, retail, hospitality or even recruitment or pharmaceuticals background - whichever this may be, you are motivated by sales and have a drive for results.
- Accountability. You keep your promises and deliver on your commitments.
- You must be commercially savvy with the ability to negotiate internally and externally.
- A full, clean drivers’ licence, as well as the ability to work in AUS on a perm basis.
- Flexibility to work some weekends and travel across Greater Sydney will be required for the role along with occasional travel to parts of regional NSW.
