The Housing Contact Centre (HCC) is a 24/7 operation of approx. 450 staff. The centre delivers NSW clients access to social housing services, including Link2home crisis accommodation, Social Housing Applications and Rentstart bond loan.

The role offers a generous salary package and internal career progression, as well as flexible work agreements, including some ability to work from home.

**What you’ll do**

As HCC Communications Manager, you will manage the development, delivery and implementation of effective internal communications to the wider DCJ community. This includes the investigation, research and completion of responses to ministerial correspondence, ministerial briefing requests and briefing notes for HCC review and response.

The role requires strong capabilities to communicate in mainly written format, effectively and persuasively in a range of styles and formats and for varied audiences. This includes the ability to influence and negotiate from an informed position, with proven skills in problem solving and research analysis.

A major component of the role is the ability to make recommendations to the HCC business, based on your relevant research analysis and in depth understanding of the DCJ business. Experience is essential in ministerial correspondence, ministerial briefing requests and briefing notes for senior management.

The role also requires experience in the implementation of campaigns within the HCC. These include keeping in Touch and the Housing Eligibility Review campaigns, which are reportable to the Director and Secretary. Implementation of additional adhoc campaigns will be required.

A Talent Pool will be created to fill similar roles for both ongoing and temporary opportunities if and as they arise.
