Join Suicide Prevention Australia, the national peak body for suicide prevention, in driving a meaningful change in public policies and government relations aimed at reducing suicide rates across the nation. We are looking for an Organisation and Methods Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our data and research priorities and leading the measurement of our impact and the sector's impact on suicide prevention.

**About Us**:
Suicide Prevention Australia represents a broad network of over 400 members, including key organisations in the sector. Over 3,000 people tragically die by suicide and an estimated 55,000 people attempt suicide each year. Over 7.5 million Australians have been close to someone who has died by or attempted suicide. We are committed to influencing systemic changes, enhancing data-driven advocacy, and building capacity for suicide prevention across Australia.

**Role Overview**:
As an Organisation and Methods Analyst reporting to the Director of Policy and Government Relations, you will play a critical role in supporting our data and research priorities. Your primary focus will be on measuring the impact of our organisation and the broader sector. You’ll work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance our understanding of suicide prevention and contribute to evidence-based practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Analyse data on suicide prevention from various sources, including national monitoring systems and surveys.
- Lead the implementation of SPA's impact framework, including regular reporting and analysis of key metrics.
- Drive a collective impact project to develop and implement resources for measuring impact across the sector.
- Build capacity and capability for data usage and awareness within the suicide prevention sector.
- Analyse and report on regular organisational data, including membership surveys and research activities.
- Provide expert advice on data and research methods.
- Lead a project to understand and report on SPA's contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

**Skills and Qualifications**:
Essential criteria:

- A degree in a relevant discipline, with expertise in data analysis, research methods, and impact measurement.
- Experience supporting others in building data capability.

Desirable criteria:

- Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong administrative and time management skills.
- A passion for suicide prevention and social justice.
