Liatam Mining Pty Ltd **(Liatam)** is a privately owned mining services company in Western Australia that offers an extensive range of support and services to the mining industry. Our services include mining, exploration, and mobile maintenance, while our independent EPC division, provides dedicated engineering, procurement, and construction support.

Liatam has successfully assisted in the re-commissioning of operations at the Bald Hill mine for Lithco No.2 Pty Ltd and continues to provide long-term open pit mining and mobile maintenance services on-site.

Liatam's exploration division is actively operating in the eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia, the Pilbara region of Western Australia, and Quebec, Canada.

**About the role**

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, we are actively seeking to employ a skilled accounting professional with experience in the mining and resources industry, who has a strong financial acumen to join the team as **Accounts Payable Officer**.

As Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for managing the accounts’ payable function which will see you accountable for but not limited to the following:

- Overseeing transfer of funds and perform all treasury functions on electronic banking
- General ledger journal processing and reconciliations
- Weekly bank account reconciliations, including Visa card
- Supplies ledger management, including supplier ledger review, reconciliation, and analysis; creditor payments generation and maintain good relationship with suppliers
- Preparing and processing sales, receivables, and employee reimbursement
- Assisting auditors with various queries and providing information
- Liaising with banks and other external parties when required
- Collation of invoices to purchase orders and checking for completeness and accuracy
- Ensuring that all accounts payable invoices are input in a timely and accurate manner and linked to Pronto
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Generation of monthly, weekly, and daily creditor payments by cheque and/or EFT
- Reconciling end of month accounts payable reports
- Minimising and assisting in the resolution of unmatched invoices in a timely manner
- Attending to enquiries from the suppliers and manage accounts payable mail accounts
- Setup and maintaining suppliers in Pronto (including verbal verification of banking details)
- Providing guidance and training to Pronto users
- Actively seek to improve procure-to-pay and accounts payable processes
- Maintain knowledge of corporate policies and procedure, and legislative and regulatory requirements

**About You**

To be successful in this role, it is desirable that you have previous experience in a similar position along with:

- Minimum 2 to 3 years previous accounts payable experience for a medium sized company
- Well organised approach to work and task execution
- Proven experience processing large volume of invoices
- Good level of computer literacy and ability to use MS Office spreadsheets, Word documents, and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to recognise problems and their potential impact on and identify resolutions
- Excellent reconciliation skills
- Sound understanding of GST
