**YMCA Victoria Point **is now seeking a **Swimming Lessons Teacher **to join their dynamic and enthusiastic team on a **casual **basis.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The role of a** Swimming Lessons Teacher** is responsible for teaching our youth to swim in a safe and friendly environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Structure and design classes with appropriate activities that enhance student interaction and collaboration
- Initiate and nurture group interaction and involvement of all participants in the class
- Use respectful, positive language and encouragement
- Actively work within a team environment to ensure safe, timely and effective set up, class delivery and pack up
- Ensure appropriate attendance and competency records are completed, collated and submitted for archiving Comply with all legislative and organisational requirements

**ABOUT YOU**
- Hold an AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety accreditation
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with a welcoming, friendly and approachable manner
- Current certification for First Aid and CPR, or the willingness to obtain them
- Hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one
