About the Role

As a Maths and Science Teacher at YMCA Brisbane's Junior Redlands Campus, you will play a vital role in delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students, fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment that promotes holistic development, community, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Maths and Science subjects to students, creating engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, write, and deliver structured lessons, ensuring a learner-focused approach that promotes academic achievement and emotional well-being;
  • Assess student progress, providing meaningful feedback and support to help students reach their full potential;
  • Support students with various learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural challenges, and mental health concerns, ensuring an inclusive and safe learning environment;
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant University degree in Education or a related field;
  • Current Queensland College of Teachers Registration and First Aid Certificate;
  • Science and Math teaching experience, with a passion for making learning engaging and accessible for all students;
  • The ability to implement effective behaviour management strategies and promote positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents;
  • Knowledge of assessment and reporting processes, with a focus on providing constructive feedback that supports student growth and improvement.
