About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Maths and Science Teacher to join our team at YMCA Brisbane's Junior Redlands Campus. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students, supporting vocational training programs, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve educational objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with peers to plan and deliver structured lessons, ensuring a learner-focused environment.
  • Support students with complex backgrounds and different learning abilities, fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the Head of Campus/School to achieve educational, wellbeing, and vocational objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant University degree and current Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
  • Science and Math teaching experience, with a proven track record of effective classroom management and engagement strategies.
  • The ability to apply knowledge of inclusive teaching practices, technology integration, and behaviour management techniques to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling you to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and parents.
