**About the Role**

This is a full-time role, with a fixed term of 6 months.

The Special Advisor Off-Shore Wind will be responsible for establishing and leading the rapid acceleration of the Clean Energy Council's offshore wind capability to ensure Australia can realise a thriving, globally competitive and responsible offshore wind industry that will play a significant role in the countries clean energy and decarbonised future.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Lead the development and implementation of the Clean Energy Council's advocacy work and government engagement on policies, regulations and legislation relating to offshore wind.
- Convene the Clean Energy Council Offshore Wind Directorate to establish industry positions on key challenges and timely development of supply chains, ports and workforce.
- Lead the development of the Clean Energy Council's engagement with offshore wind stakeholders and ensure clear communication and effective dialogue on industry development between Clean Energy Council members and federal and state Government agencies.
- Scope and design capacity needs to support longer term growth.

**About You**

Central to this role are your exceptional leadership and policy development skills, which will include your ability to describe problems clearly and identify solutions, and your capacity to communicate and prepare logical, succinct written materials and present them to large audiences.

You will also have member, stakeholder and community engagement expertise and the ability to implement robust engagement strategies that contribute to you and the CEC team becoming trusted sources of information to assist with the rapid acceleration of the CECs offshore wind capability.

You will have extensive experience in the development of off-shore wind projects, ideally in navigating assessment frameworks and broader industry developments such as ports, supply change and workforce, along with an understanding of government policy-making processes and the role of regulatory frameworks in managing industry.

Previous experience work with and organising consultative committees and the ability to synthesise and communicate complex information is essential.

Relevant tertiary qualifications are required.
