**About the role**

This position will play a key role in maximising overall returns from our role in energy transition for our customers and markets in which we operate.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead operation of Future Energy project teams and support new business opportunities
- Support the growth and development of the Project Management team
- Develop and execute various projects to strengthen Ampol's position in the market
- Create thinking and framing for projects with reference to technical feasibility and financial viability
- Engage with third parties and key stakeholders to explore opportunities to deliver project outcomes
- Build and maintain a strong network with business, customer and professional stakeholders

**About you**

Ideally you will have a board range of energy experience across key electricity, next generation fuels and hydrogen products, including detailed knowledge of supply chains, assets, customers and financial drivers. This role will require excellent people and time management skills including the ability to communicate effectively. You will be an innovative thinker with the ability to conceptualise, develop and implement complex proposals.

Key skills and experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or extensive experience in a similar role
- Commercial experience in the energy industry and/or petroleum, electricity, or trading companies
- A proven track record in successful business development from conception and strategy development to implementation and operations
- Thorough knowledge of Future Energy products and markets and Ampol products and how they will be impacted by energy transition
