**About the role**
Applications are invited from motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurses with a commitment to clinical coaching and a keen interest in education and professional development, to fill a **Clinical Facilitator
- **Perioperative** position in a **permanent part time** capacity (16hrs per week) at our **Redland** campus.
The Clinical Facilitator is supported by the Education Coordinator, the Practice Development Team and Mater Education. We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with consolidated and recent clinical experience who is interested in providing support and educational opportunities to novice and experienced staff.
The position is for a nurse who is willing to challenge their own professional scope of practice in an education role, whilst further developing and supporting their team members in a best practice model of care. There is ample opportunity for initiative and innovation in education delivery within this team.
**Salary range: $52.63 - $56.38 (RN2) per hour plus superannuation & access to generous salary packaging up to $15,900 annually**
**What you’ll be doing**
As Clinical Facilitator you will be primarily responsible for supporting the professional development of the team and have a commitment to education and to delivering safe, quality, evidence-based patient care.
This opportunity will encompass wide and diverse coordination, provision and monitoring of unit-based and organisation-wide education, including:
- Bedside clinical coaching
- Clinical skills development and competencies
- On-line learning support and face to face mandatory adult and paediatric assessments
- Revision and implementation of new policies and models of care
- Identification, implementation and evaluation of best practice models
- Assisting with development and facilitation of simulated learning opportunities
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current and unrestricted registration and endorsement (where applicable) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of three (3) years post graduate cumulative clinical experience (clinical specialty desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or postgraduate qualification in education, or willingness to work towards achieving
- Post graduate qualifications in the relevant specialty (Nursing / Midwifery and/or Education) or working towards same.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and preceptorship
- High level communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
