THE ROLE

The

Faculty of Science and Engineering

is seeking a fixed term Project Officer to provide support for our Educational Services team. Working mainly with the Student Experience and the Learning Design Teams, you will assist with project tracking and reporting, liaise with academics and other stakeholders, develop materials such as marketing materials for students, and assisting with events and workshops. This opportunity will develop your project management and communication skills in a fast paced, collaborative team environment.

About You

You are a self-starter with the ability to work to deadlines, have experience tracking projects and have good verbal and written communication skills. Your experience in report writing and demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders (ideally in the tertiary sector) will be strongly valued.

Faculty of Science and Engineering

is a young and dynamic faculty driven by the spirit of discovery. Here we nurture the next generation of science and technology innovators. From a handful of students on the University’s first day, the Faculty now serves approximately 8000 students across all our courses.

Selection Criteria

Essential:
- Ability to plan and track project progress against goals and timelines, and to prepare reports and data for executive and external audiences.- Demonstrated experience in producing accurate and professional outputs.- Experience scoping, planning and developing marketing materials and in running events.- Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with stakeholders.- Ability to manage time and resources to complete tasks with competing deadlines.

Desirable:
- Experience working in a tertiary education environment, particularly working on tertiary student communications and events.- Experience in evaluating and implementing improvements to programs and processes.

Appointment Type: Part-time (0.5 FTE, 17.5 hours per week), fixed term until 31 December 2024.
