Seeking for an experienced IT project officer to join Macquarie University in an initial Fixed Term Full Time Opportunity.
- From $88,589 to $97,787 (HEW Level 6), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Full time, 2 year fixed-term role. Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Project Officer (IT Program Delivery) to join a driven and outcome-oriented delivery portfolio. The role is an excellent opportunity for a self-starting individual who has strong experience to support a large portfolio of work and provides unique opportunities in a large-scale digital transformation. You will report directly to the Deputy CIO and will work closely with Program and Project Managers to support the delivery of the overall IT Capital Portfolio,

This role will support the MQ IT Program Delivery Directorate for the end-to-end project delivery of the Macquarie University Capital IT portfolio. Project delivery is focused on timely, appropriate and on budget to support the Macquarie University Digital transformation.

About You

You will be a self-starting individual with excellent work organisation and time management skills and ability to work under pressure. You will have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail, and be able to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

Your specific experience will include providing reporting and/or other administrative support to IT programs and complex projects and you will have a solid understanding of project and risk management fundamentals. Whilst not essential, experience working in IT projects is favourable.

- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent work organisation and time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in report preparation and use of reporting tools.
- Understanding of project management and risk management fundamentals.
- Proficient in use of MS Office Suite, project management, and online collaboration tools.
