Our client is looking for an experienced
**Quality Assurance Manager** for a permanent full-time opportunity and ASAP start located in
**Mt Kuring-Gai (near Hornsby). **Working in a large further Processing Facility where the likes of chicken nuggets, chicken tenders and pop corn chicken are manufactured.

The team are looking for someone who has a technical background in Food technology or similar technical experience, Food Safety and Quality Culture at the forefront of their mindset with outstanding communication skills.

The QA Manager will have 8 other employees who directly report to them, which include 2 Team Leaders.

As the QA manager you are responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of day to day operation of the food safety and quality systems in order to comply with the company’s quality policies, legislative requirements and customer requirements for food safety and quality accreditation.

Additionally, The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for management of QA and QC Officers. They are also responsible for supplying departmental resources required including staffing, equipment and materials and ensuring effective communication within departments, company and with suppliers/customers when required.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Qualifications in food science / related agricultural science or relevant industry experience and training
- Excellent leadership skills including conflict resolution and problem solving
- Management experience of small to medium sized department in a processing environment
- Structured project management training
- Excellent people skills and mathematical & communication skills, both written and oral

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Extensive previous experience in food processing and distribution
- Detailed knowledge of all products and processes within scope
- Ability to make quick and correct decisions “on the job” and long term decisions
- Well developed problem solving skills with the ability to arrive at and implement long term preventive actions
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to achieve departmental targets
