The Hotel Grand Chancellor and the Chancellor on Currie are well established, busy and progressive hotels in the heart of the city, and we are seeking a People & Culture Generalist to join our hotel in this newly created position. Due to the promotion of our current Human Resources Manager, this position offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside our newly appointed Director of Human Resources Australia. As this is a newly created position, it will provide the successful individual a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of their development, whilst they are receiving continuous support, guidance and coaching in areas that will strengthen their experience and expand their knowledge.

The individual we are searching for is passionate about people, has an engaging personality, performs their responsibilities with integrity, and possesses strong communication skills. You will be highly organised and have exceptional time management skills in a busy environment. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment where your experience in recruitment, human resources administration and policies and procedures will be instrumental in shaping the organisations culture.

**Reporting to the Hotel General Manager you will have knowledge and experience in the following, but not limited to**:

- End to end recruitment, including the onboarding and induction of new team members.
- Support the Human Resources functions in order to establish and maintain the highest levels of employee efficiency, effectiveness, job satisfaction and staff relations.
- Provide assistance to the General Manager, management staff and line employees by listening and interpreting concerns and objectives.
- Support the training and personal development activities in the hotel, including training needs analysis from induction through to management development.
- Monitor employee performance and assist with performance management procedures.
- Create and maintain a safe, healthy and compliant work environment, ensuring the wellbeing of our team and guests is paramount.
