The Marist Learning Zone, situated in the vibrant community of Mt Druitt, is dedicated to empowering students who have become disconnected from traditional Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) school environments. Our primary mission is to reintegrate these students into formal education or equip them with the necessary skills to confidently enter or reenter the workforce.

As a Leading Teacher, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing personalised learning programs that foster exceptional student outcomes. Your expertise in leading and managing people, exceptional communication skills, and strong leadership abilities will be instrumental in re-engaging students and creating a supportive learning environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, Manage, and Inspire: Utilise your exceptional people management skills to lead and collaborate with a diverse team of teachers from various teams. Mentor, communicate, and collaborate effectively to enable professional learning and develop the capability of executing effective learning interventions.
- Personalised Learning: Design and implement personalised learning programs to cater to the unique needs of students with learning, developmental, social, and emotional challenges. Collaborate with leaders, teachers, case managers, parents, carers, and external providers to create tailored programs that empower students to achieve their full potential.
- Pathway Creation: Lead and coordinate students, in collaboration with families, into different educational pathways, including the mainstream school system and apprenticeships. Provide guidance and support to ensure students are equipped with the necessary skills for successful transition and long-term success. Develop the capacity of colleagues to respond to the diverse needs of students.
- Wellbeing and Engagement: Implement programs and strategies responsive to the wellbeing needs of students and increase their engagement. Work systematically with schools, families, staff, and leaders to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of learning initiatives. Build strong relationships with schools, families, staff, and leaders to foster a collaborative approach to student success.

**About the Role**:

- Deliver and develop professional learning to CSPD staff and students
- Lead a team and build capability to respond to the changing diverse needs of students
- Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate learning programmes and interventions for students
- Implement programmes and strategies responsive to the wellbeing needs of students and increasing their engagement
- Develop the capacity of colleagues to respond to the diverse needs of students (would need to have a background on working with the needs of students)
- Work systemically with schools, families, staff and leaders
- Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of learning initiatives
