About the Role:

  • Collaborate and consult with teachers and leaders to design and implement Learning, Wellbeing and Inclusion frameworks to improve learning outcomes for students with additional needs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Wellbeing's Directorate strategy within schools to develop whole school processes to improve student outcomes
  • Mentor and collaborate with teachers to enable professional learning and develop capability to execute effective learning interventions
  • Work systematically to conduct and support personalised learning, risk assessment and behaviour plans
  • Collaborate with school teams to promote partnerships with parents, carers and community

About you:

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CSPD along with:

  • Passion to make a difference to the lives of disengaged young people
  • High level of expertise in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating learning programmes and interventions for students
  • Demonstrated experience implementing programmes and strategies responsive to the wellbeing needs of students, increasing their engagement and attendance
  • Developed the capacity of colleagues to respond to the wellbeing needs of students
  • Experience with teaching and working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Experience working systemically with schools, families, staff and leaders
  • Experience working with families and students with complex bio psychosocial need
  • Demonstrated expertise in engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of learning initiatives

Qualifications/Accreditation

  • Tertiary Qualification in Education
  • Statements of Service
  • Special educational qualifications and or experience in working in an alternate school setting (desirable)
  • Experience and or knowledge of trauma informed care (desirable)
  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation
  • Working with Children Check clearance
