**The Role**:
This exciting new role would be an ideal opportunity for a brand/campaign-focused agency Account Director to take the step into in-house or for a Brand Manager with complex stakeholder management experience to move to an organisation with purpose

Help us inspire people to recycle with Containers for Change. We have ambitious targets to keep drink containers out of oceans and landfill and transform them into resources that can be used again and again.

As Brand Manager you’ll play a pivotal role in helping our current clients and partners reach their recycling targets and have the opportunity to contribute to other major business programs as we expand into new states and territories, including assisting in large scale launches of new schemes.

We’re looking for an experienced Brand Manager who can identify new and creative opportunities and partnerships to grow our existing service footprint. You’ll define and implement brand marketing strategies in close collaboration with our partner schemes to facilitate large scale recycling behaviour change and make recycling through our schemes an enduring habit.

Reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager, and working within a close-knit and passionate Marketing Team, this high-visibility role will interact with key internal and senior external stakeholders (eg media agencies and other vendors, recycling scheme partners including marketing teams).

You’ll be based in Sydney, with the ability to travel to our offices in North Sydney twice a week, and occasionally to meet with key contacts across our partner geographies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide cross-functional leadership to develop recycling rates across schemes, including identifying and implementing new partnership opportunities eg with retail.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, facilitating strong relationships with partner scheme contacts and influencing opportunities to drive national activities.
- Build foundations for large-scale brand activities, including launches, campaigns, media plans, working directly with external partners.
- Lead development of operational strategies to support intra-state scheme expansion (such as the inclusion of wine bottles).
- Drive continuous improvement in brand experience through national services and consumer touchpoints, including our Contact Centre.
- Support digital expansion, working closely with the team to improve our membership offering, and expand acquisition and retention.
- Initiate and deliver programs and case studies that promote thought leadership in the Circular Economy.
- Campaign budget management, including personal time management and billing according to individual scheme agreements.
- Identify and develop opportunities for further marketing project work with partner schemes on an ad hoc basis.

**Skills and Experiences**:
About you
- 6+ years’ experience in brand management, including leading large programs and partnerships end-to-end.
- Experience with lifecycle management working closely with digital SMEs; experience in membership marketing a bonus.
- Experience in franchise leadership or client-service is a big plus
- At ease with tools and systems ie Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Big-picture thinker who focuses on creating and delivering opportunities for growth
- 'Can do' approach, solutions oriented, results focused, creative and innovative.
- Self-directed and outcomes driven
- Strong experience influencing and managing internal and external stakeholders
- You’ve initiated and built partnerships with organisations and agencies
- Strong communication skills, with ability to take the team on the journey.
- Ability to work collaboratively and deliver under tight timeframes in a complex environment
- A solid understanding of commercial deliverables - you’re a project management pro and take pride in delivering projects on time, within budget, and exceeding expectations
