Our Purpose

VicReturn is an exciting new business, tasked with the oversight and administration of Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme (“CDS Vic”), which is scheduled to launch in November 2023. At VicReturn we are motivated to help keep beverage containers out of landfill, creating clean streams of recycled materials that help to build our Circular Economy by promoting product stewardship of all Beverage Suppliers in Victoria.

As the appointed Scheme Coordinator for CDS Vic, we work with government and partners to oversee the building of a large-scale container recycling network which will play a key role in transforming Victoria’s waste and recycling system. Through a 10c refund for every eligible container returned we will encourage Victorians to collect and recycle their beverage containers, making a positive difference to our people, environment and local industry.

**About the role**:
You will be responsible for People and Culture at VicReturn. This is a standalone People and Culture Manager role that sits on the leadership team and reports into the CEO. As a member of the executive team, you play a key role in guiding both the executive team and the business in its launch and effectiveness

As this is a new position and company, this is an exciting role where you can build and implement best P&C practices and build the culture that you and the executive want across the business. You will be instrumental in recruiting and developing the capability across the business as it grows from 5 employees to 25 in the first 12 months.

**About you**:
Experienced and Qualified People and Culture Generalist (8 years +) passionate about developing and implementing strategies to attract, engage, and develop employees

Strong Generalist experience in continued development of organisational culture and employee engagement strategies and employee lifecycle.

Talent Acquisition/ workforce planning

Working in a start-up environment or small business

Hands on leader with strong people and business acumen

Be a true Business partner with key leaders to identify learning and development opportunities

Setting up and delivering on all WHS practices across the business

Passionate about Sustainability
