**About the role**
In this role, you will be based at the City of Greater Geelong Garden Organics Processing Facility near Anakie and have experience in operating and maintaining Council’s in-vessel composting units and their HMI (Human Machine Interface).

**Work type**: Permanent, full-time
**Classification**: Band 5 ($76,355-$86,617) + 11% superannuation

Key responsibilities include:

- Operate and maintain the Council’s in-vessel composting units and their HMI (Human Machine Interface) accordingly to manufactures’ instructions in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
- Accurately record client information and waste product information utilisation the facilities weighbridge management system.
- Input data as required into the facility’s compost management program including EPA operating licence obligations
- Assist with the collation of composted products for testing as well as assisting with onsite plant propagule and persistent herbicide germination test.
- Provide effective weighbridge attendant duties as required.
- Ensure only feedstocks (wastes) permitted on the licence are accepted to be processed at the facility.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working in a similar role and the following:

- Certificates of Competency and demonstrated experience in using articulated loaders, trommel screens and window turner.
- Demonstrated ability in the operation and maintenance of in-vessel compost fixed plant and related interface.
- Demonstrated skills in operations and processes relating to a licenced organics processing facility.
- A clear understanding of EPA requirements in relating to licenced organics processing facilities.
- Exposure to quality systems and Australian Standards relating to compost.
- Current Victorian driver's licence.
