Our client is an independent statutory office holder who reviews the activities of the Australian intelligence agencies. They ensure that these agencies act legally and with propriety, and comply government guidelines and respect human rights.

Two contract opportunities with their Human Resources (HR) section. They are looking for experienced HR generalists with experience and skills across areas such as recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, payroll, workplace health and safety, and organisational culture.

There are two roles available. Role 1 is a 12 month contract for a **Human Resource Officer **to deliver accurate, timely and insightful support and guidance to OIGIS staff and the Executive across a range of HR matters including recruitment, employment conditions, workplace behaviour, performance management and employee development.

Role 2 is for a **Human Resource Officer (Process Documentation) **for a six month period to document current processes and develop help develop new mechanisms to enhance the delivery of our HR services to the office.

**Role 1 - Human Resource Officer**

**Duties**:

- Deliver accurate, timely and insightful support and guidance across a range of HR matters
- Undertake procedural and administrative support to assist in the efficient and effective delivery of HR services
- Support end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
- Supporting Enterprise Bargaining activities

**Desirable skills and experience**:

- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- experience as a HR generalist with skills in areas such as: recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, payroll, workplace health and safety, or organisational culture
- ability and willingness to upskill and learn all facets of Human resource management
- sound understanding of HR focused legislative frameworks
- ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- ability to exercise sound judgment and work effectively in a small team environment
- relevant HR qualifications (desirable)
- a demonstrated understanding of the APS conditions of employment and employment legislation (desirable)

**Role 2 - Human Resource Offic **_e _**r (Process Documentation)**

**Duties**:

- drafting, review and implementation of procedures, standard operating procedures, and checklists
- design record keeping spreadsheets, registers and files as required
- develop and maintain accurate records
- Maintain a high standard of confidentially and privacy, and escalating queries to appropriate stakeholders/line management.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, including Directors and Senior Executive Staff and our shared services provider.

**Desirable skills and experience**:
