**About the role**:
As the Ranger (Field Services), you will deliver in park services as directed by the Manager to enable efficient and effective delivery at a district level in accordance with the Regional Action Plan. You will be accountable for the delivery of on the ground works including, but not limited to, maintenance of assets, infrastructure, and facilities; basic plumbing, carpentary, tool and small plant maintenance. You will be required to assist in track maintenance (mountain bike, walking and horse trails and auditing.

**We're looking for someone with**:

- Plant, chainsaw and machinery operation ticket and/or experience.
- Demonstrated practical skills in the maintenance tools, small plant and equipment.
- basic plumbing, carpentry, fencing and welding
- interest or experience in trail maintenance
- A current Resume
- A cover letter addressing the Selection Criteria as outlined in the position description.

About the Branch
The You Yangs Office is located within the Western Basalt District and Wadawurrung Country. The team is responsible for managing the You Yangs Regional Park and a number of reserves including Inverleigh Nature conservation reserve. The park is highly visited and provides a variety of recreational pursuits from high energy downhill mountain biking to nature walks, rock-climbing, and horse riding. It's an amazing natural environment to develop your park management skills.
