**About the role**
The Arts and Culture Major Events Officer role will offer you the unique opportunity to contribute to the quality of life within Glen Eira residents through the management of the Arts and Cultural programs, events and festivals, in accordance with Council's strategic and cultural plans.
- Key responsibilities include:_
- Plan and implement approved programs, events and festivals in accordance with Council's strategic and cultural plans.
- Coordinate promotional material for the Arts and Culture Program.
- Supervise part time and casual staff and contractors, including contracts, job briefs, recruitment and rosters.
- Liaise with government and non-government agencies regarding arts and cultural issues.
- Prepare reports and supporting documentation as required.
- Assist in the day to day administration of the Arts and Culture Program (purchase orders, filing, memos, external correspondence etc.).

**About you**
- Skills and Experience:_
- Experience working in an arts and culture or similar events environment.
- Experience in managing events/programs within budgetary constraints.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in Arts Event Management or related area.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High proficiency in Windows computer environment, in particular Microsoft office packages.
