**The Role**
The EL1 Business and Governance Manager in the Navy Intelligence and Information Warfare (NI&IW) Branch, will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve business unit outcomes which cover finance, procurement, contract management, human resources, governance, business planning and coordination functions.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- developing and managing the NI&IW Branch Operating Budget and reporting against budget achievements.
- managing NI&IW Branch contracts including the development, coordination and management of procurement activities for renewal and future contracts for the Branch.
- managing changes to the Branch organisation structure and positions and managing recruitment activities.
- developing, coordinating and managing the annual Branch Business Plan, including performance reporting.
- managing the induction of new Branch staff, including the development and management of on-boarding guidance.
- developing and implementing continuous improvement for enabling services delivered by the Branch.

The EL1 Business and Governance Manager is located within the Directorate Branch Operations as part of a small team, with APS, contractors and Navy personnel.

The NI&IW Branch is an exciting and cutting-edge workplace. The Branch focuses on the key inputs of people, policies and products to assist in realising its objectives. It is an exciting time to join the Branch as we strive to support next generation capabilities and new platforms out to 2030 and beyond. The Branch structure consists of around 70 personnel within nine directorates, plus the Executive team and employs an integrated workforce; consisting of mostly Navy personnel, supported by a smaller number of APS and contractor personnel.

The EL1 Business and Governance Manager is located within the Directorate Branch Operations (DBOPS), as part of a small team of APS employees and supports the Director. The DBOPS team supports the NI&IW Branch in finance, procurement, physical and personnel security, contract management, business planning, governance, information management and HR functions.
