**Position Information**:
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
**About the Role**
This role is vital to the maintenance and upkeep of departmental schools.
To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others.
You will perform a range of tasks relating to the routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds. The role may assist with the set up and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities. You will identify and report maintenance and safety issues. You will receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults.

Glenvale School is an SSP located north of Sydney on the Central Coast and is spread over 2 campuses. The larger campus of 17 classes is at Narara and 8 classes are located at The Entrance North. The school caters for students from Kindergarten through to Year 12 in small classes of 6 to 8 students with a special education teacher and school learning support officer in each classroom. Glenvale provides individual education programs for students with a wide variety of disabilities supporting each student’s learning, behaviour and communication needs. Most students have a moderate or severe intellectual disability and many have multiple disabilities. The school has many innovative programs including speech, occupational and music therapy. Glenvale is supported by the Valley Schools Aboriginal Network which provides cultural activities and support for our students of Aboriginal background.
