Job Summary:  

Collarcare® are partnered with health services across Australia and we are currently seeking Registered Nurses for hospital contracts in NSW. As an Emergency & General Medical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide range of medical conditions. You will work in both emergency and general medical units, responding to urgent situations and providing continuous care to stabilize and treat patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and a commitment to deliver compassionate patient care. 

About the role: 

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent time management, and the ability to stay well-organized while prioritizing tasks efficiently. 
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs. 
  • Provide emergency care to patients with acute medical conditions and injuries. 
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams. 
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed. 
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as needed. 
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and self-care. 
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records. 
  • Respond to emergencies and provide timely and effective interventions. 
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patient care. 

Key Requirements: 

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. 
  • Triage experience and / certification  
  • Current National Police Check  
  • NDIS Clearance / Willingness to Obtain  
  • ALS, BLS and PALS Certification 
  • 1 year of experience working in an Australian Health Setting  
  • Previous experience in emergency and general medical nursing is highly desirable. 
  • Strong understanding of emergency and general medical nursing practices. 
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
