MJT Group is currently looking for a **General Handyman (Subcontractor)** to assist with the maintenance of a select group of residential premises in the Newcastle area, and surrounding areas, and who is willing to tackle a wide range of jobs of all sizes throughout the region, which includes providing estimates.

The role will suit someone who is trustworthy, enjoys a variety of tasks, and can be autonomous.

**Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to)**:

- General handyman duties
- General maintenance and light repairs
- Patching and painting holes in walls and ceilings
- Undertake light installation or carpentry.
- Repair equipment or appliances
- Report any maintenance, or other issues, that require specific expert skills

**Requirements and skills**:

- Proven experience as handyman;
- Relevant contractor licenses are in place;
- Current drivers licence;
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment;
- Good communication ability;
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving;
- Attention to detail;
- Promptness.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

Pay: $285.29 - $473.96 per day

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
