Future Living Permanent
Part-Time 25- 30 hrs/wk Subiaco, Western Australia
This is an opportunity to lead a distinct and growing, purpose-led organisation, blending strong personal engagement skills with financial management capability and the ambition to make a difference.
Future Living is a not-for-profit, ACNC and NDIS registered organisation, providing a range of services to people with a developmental disability and their families. Our portfolio of services covers three functions: Plan: we provide information and advice to parents via online, group forums and 1-1 advice meetings. Participate: we enhance clients’ daily lives via NDIS Support Coordination, Circles of Support and Mentoring. Protect: we ensure the future long-term security of an individual by acting as Trustees, and though the provision of Personal Safeguarding Services.
Future Living is unique in the disability landscape, with aims to: Promote the importance and benefits of long-term planning by parents for their son or daughter with developmental disability. Give parents peace of mind around the future safety and welfare of their child. Advocate for stronger recognition and support for the many people with a developmental disability.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a diverse role that combines direct engagement with families, marketing and management of services, advocacy and leadership within government and the disability sector, all aspects of financial management including client trusts, strategic business planning, and leadership of a skilled operational team. In practical terms, the CEO reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for managing the overall operations of the organisation and implementing the Mission, Vision and Strategy.
Beyond meeting the capabilities mentioned above, other experience and personal attributes that would be highly advantageous include:
A sound understanding of legal principles related to estate planning and the administration of trusts.
Prior experience in fundraising and grant acquisition and acquittal.
Professional written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
Demonstrated success in decision making and the achievement of goals
Prior experience working with a Board and governance knowledge.
Qualifications and/or experience in the human services sector.
