**The Role**

An exciting new opportunity to develop, implement and advise on strategies relating to Aboriginal Affairs.

The Coordinator Aboriginal Strategy plans, delivers and monitors projects and programs at strategic level in collaboration and partnership with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and stakeholder organisations.

The role works closely with external and internal stakeholders in delivering programs and activities with a cultural lens and is informed by best practice. The role will be outcomes focused, aligned with corporate goals and objectives, including provision of internal cultural support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and ensuring employees create a culturally safe and welcoming environment for Anorigial and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and families.

**About you**
Are you passionate in developing, implementing and advising on strategies relating to Aboriginal Affairs? Aligning strategic goals through a culturally safe lens based on best practice principles, collaborating with stakeholders to meet the needs of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, including implementation of Council’s Aboriginal Action Plan?
