**Eligibility**

**Division Responsibilities**

The Regulatory Practice and Support Division is part of the Health Products Regulation

Group. The division is responsible for a number of regulatory functions under the
- Therapeutic Goods Act 1989_ and provides specific support services that ensure efficient,

best practice regulatory operations.

**Branch Responsibilities**

The Regulatory Compliance Branch undertakes regulatory compliance activities, including

education, compliance and enforcement actions to detect, deter and resolve non
- compliance with the with the import, advertising and supply requirements of the
- Therapeutic Goods Act 1989_.

**Section Responsibilities**

The Compliance Assessment and Monitoring Section is responsible for assessing reports of

non-compliance and monitoring compliance with the import, advertising and supply

requirements of the _Therapeutic Goods Act 1989_. The section uses a risk-based approach to

prioritise reports or other signals of non-compliance and allocate cases for investigations in

accordance with operational, tactical and strategic priorities. The section also assesses

import and supply information and monitors advertisements to check for compliance. More

broadly, the team is also responsible for administering the advertising assurance program to

assess ongoing compliance as well as providing secretariat support to a number of

committees. The section produces compliance reports and data analytic reports for

intelligence and monitoring.***

**Key Responsibilities**

Under broad direction from your supervisor you will:

- receive and assess reports of alleged non-compliance with the import, advertising

and supply requirements of the _Therapeutic Goods Act 1989_, Regulations and the

Therapeutic Goods (Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code) Instrument 2021***
- Identify and record information and evidence in relevant databases and/or record

keeping systems (eg. TRIM, Microsoft Dynamics 365)***

reports of non-compliance***
- As necessary, draft and issue official correspondence in accordance with relevant

Government policy and legislation***
- Perform routine searches for potential non-compliance, for example review

advertisements of therapeutic goods***
- Provide regulatory compliance support to the broader team and branch as required,

including for investigations and secretariat support for governance committees***
- Contribute to the development and implementation of risk-based compliance

activities to achieve efficient and effective outcomes, including procedures

development***
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality***
- Maintain an awareness of developing compliance issues, and***
- Other duties as required.***

**Key Capabilities**

- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail,

including the ability to liaise and negotiate with others and take detailed notes.
- Well-developed organisational skills, and ability to work in a consistent and

systematic matter under pressure and to meet deadlines to resolve issues and

deliver quality outcomes
- Experience in using databases including to search and enter information
- Ability to work well individually, and as part of a team
- Sound knowledge of, or experience in, administration processes and proven abilities

in the areas of administrative and compliance and/or enforcement support
- Sound knowledge and experience in a compliance or enforcement environment
