- Parramatta location with flexible and hybrid working options available.
- Clerk Grade 7/8. Base salary $101,947 to $112,849 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

**About the team**

The Legal and Professional Services division provides expert legal, taxation, financial planning, and genealogy services to customers across the entire agency.

**About the role**

The Principal Advisory Officer, Financial Planning is responsible for delivering complex financial planning services and advice, ensuring trustee and financial management services are high quality, timely, effective and customer focused.

Reporting to the Manager Financial Planning, this role will see you:

- deliver financial planning services that are compliant with legislative requirements, consistent with industry best practice, cost effective, and in line within budget.
- escalate issues and provide advice on difficult matters, appeals and significant complaints to ensure that they are resolved effectively.
- contribute to major organisational change by aligning resources and performance and role modelling NSWTG’s values and behaviours and maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s reputation.

**About you**

We are looking for an experienced financial planner to join our team in the provision of financial planning advice and services.
- A fully qualified financial planner
- An excellent communicator who can provide expert advice on financial, insurance and budgeting to clients
- Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of financial planning, investments, personal insurance, government benefits and child support.
- Experience negotiating with financial institutions, benefit providers, statutory agencies and other stakeholders on complex or sensitive issues.
- Proactive in establishing and maintaining working relationships with external organisations and government agencies.
- Ability to promote and enhance a positive culture within the team and other staff within NSW Trustee & Guardian

**Essential requirements**
- Certified Financial Planner or tertiary qualifications in Financial Planning and membership of a related professional body.
- Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of Financial Planning
- Understanding of NSW government and NSWTG’s key services and client base.
- All roles in NSWTG require a willingness to have phone calls monitored for quality and training purposes.
