**About the Opportunity**

Strathfield Council is seeking a Business Support Officer to provide corporate administrative support to the Planning, Place and Development team at an effective, professional and efficient standard.

In order to undertake the role, it requires the following duties:

- To provide general clerical and administrative tasks and support to the Planning, Place and Development team
- Be the first point of contact for all planning related enquiries from residents via phone, electronic or written form.
- Action all incoming enquiries and provide residents with the appropriate information and procedures as directed by Council.
- Registering documents and correspondence in CM10, updating Authority and excel spreadsheets.
- Arrange and prepare meetings for committees and public planning forums and panels.
- Planning related reporting to internal and external stakeholders/departments
- Producing and finalising notice of determinations and related administrative tasks

**About you**

To succeed in the role, you will have the following:

- Certificate III in Business Administration or higher and/or relevant work experience in a similar environment.
- Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills relevant to the position with experience providing quality customer service.
- Good time management, planning and organisational skills
