APS4/5 Billing and Data Analyst (1 Vacancy)

**About the team - Cross Government Services Branch**

The Cross Government Services Branch leads Services Australia's engagement with partner agencies to deliver high quality cross government services and supports the delivery of shared services to a number of Commonwealth entities.

This includes:

- building and maintaining strategic relationships with partner agencies
- developing and maintaining the Cross Government Services Catalogue
- working with service owners to mature business processes that deliver efficiencies and value to our clients; and
- providing guidance and alignment to the Whole of Government shared services transformation agenda.
- The branch is leading the delivery of the Shared Services charter outcomes in order to achieve our transformation ambition to ‘become the provider of choice for delivering shared government services. Services Australia is positioned as the leader in the delivery of shared services and recognised as a trusted enabler, allowing clients to get on with their core business.
The CGS Billing and Reporting team are responsible for:
Maintenance and ongoing management of CGS billing schedules.
- The billing of CGS External Costing Requests (ECR), Technical Service Proposals (TSP), Indigenous Apprenticeship Program (IAP) and catalogue services.
- CGS Reporting and data collection.
- Ad-hoc billing and reporting advice as required.
- CGS revenue distribution for both ICT and Corporate services.

The roles are full-time, non-ongoing/ongoing, non-ongoing contracts for up to 18 months.

**What you will do
- As a Billing Data Analyst you will work as part of a multi-skilled team. Duties may include some or all the following:

- assist senior staff with administration and documentation as required
- liaise with stakeholders to develop an understanding of their requirements and concerns
- assist team to examine and organise requirements to record dependencies, relationships and identify logical sequences
- assist with reviewing business processes to determine areas for improvement or change
- draft a range of written material including business cases, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation
- detect data inconsistencies
- assess, integrate and coordinate data coming from multiple sources
- support and assist with the data management process including collating, creating, maintaining, and distributing data
- escalate issues that adversely impact on billing, reporting, performance and/or service
- monitor and manage work output and quality against established performance standards through quality analysis and reporting
- monitor and report on the achievement of business outcomes, key performance indicators and quality assurance to assist local management to manage overall performance
- provide billing support and advice to business areas
- prepare correspondence such as reports, corporate and ICT information for review by senior staff
