**About Neami National**

Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.

We have been providing mental health support for over 30 years. We were founded on an alliance between professionals, individuals and their families. Collaborative recovery remains at the heart of who we are today.

**About your new role**

The Mental Health Clinician will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver short term mental health suicide prevention service to people aged 16 - 65 years and offer medium to long term individual or group psychological therapy.

The service will provide a holistic approach to care, addressing a range of social, physical, and emotional needs informed by the Collaborative Relational Practice (CRP) and supported by best practice in evidence-based and evidence informed care. When providing therapeutic counselling services specific skills in delivering these services will be expected. If performing suicide prevention services or in working with more severely impacted clients living with mental illness and comorbidities, including the Shared Care Program, the ability to work in an environment where risk may be present, the ability to manage risk and the ability to manage the impact of moderate to higher risk client work is required.

**What you will bring to the role?**
- A minimum 2 years supervised experience in the area of mental health
- A minimum 2 years relevant professional development and or supervision
- Experience in delivery cognitive behaviour therapy and other evidence-based interventions

**What the role requires**:

- National Criminal History Check (Police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
- Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
- Current Professional Registration and Credentialling
- Current Drivers licence
- Australian Working Rights
- As part of Neami’s condition of employment you will need to provide appropriate evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (having received three doses) to Neami National.
