The role

The Operations team are currently seeking a full time Operations Administration Assistant to join our Canberra Office. Working closely with the Facilities & Office Services Coordinator, this role is responsible for the smooth delivery of day-to-day operations and office support services.

Key responsibilities

This varied, busy and exciting role will see you:

- Carry out the day-to-day operation of mail and print areas, including filling print requests, internal mail collection and delivery, managing courier requests and deliveries.
- Assisting with regular maintenance checks of equipment (ie. printers) and ensuring that all supplies, including stationary and first aid, are regularly restocked.
- Provide coverage to reception during breaks and periods of leave or absence, including administering bookings for internal meeting rooms, greeting clients and visitors, and managing the presentation of meeting rooms.
- Assisting the events team with on-site event coordination and room setup.
- Assist in reviewing floor plans for the Intranet and arrange amendments as required.
- Assist with the day-to-day management of the tenancy (security) access system, including the issuing and management of security cards;
- Provide general / administrative support to the Catering Coordinator, IT, Finance, Records Management and Clients & Markets teams.
- Provide a range of ad hoc support to the office as required

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone with a can do attitude and open minded approach to their work.

Experience in a similar role or professional services environment would be viewed favourably, although is not essential. In addition, you will ideally have:

- Highly developed organisational skills
- Excellent time management
- Strong attention to detail
- An ability to effectively communicate with others.
- Experienced with a computer booking system
- A friendly, positive, proactive approach to your work
- Good customer service skills and a desire to work with people

The Operations and Reception team

The Operations team provides a range of national support services to the firm including premises and facilities management, office services, secretarial support, word processing services, catering, purchasing and supply, records management and travel.
