**The Business**

We provide an integrated service delivered through four key complementary businesses to our clients in the resources, power, utilities, and telecommunications sectors across Australia.
GenusPlus Group consists of several entities that are supported through our agile and collaborative group services.
**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
Reporting functionally to the Group General Manager - Human Resources, the HR Officer’s purpose is to carry out the HR functions that govern the employee lifecycle, industrial relations processes, policies, vision and strategy which contribute to the achievement of GenusPlus Group’s goals.
- Initially a fixed-term contract (12 months) with the potential for permanency
- On a full-time, Monday-to-Friday roster
- Part of a team of 4 experienced HR Officers
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Facilitate the administration of Human Resources activities throughout the employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, engagement, remuneration & benefits, payroll, performance, training & development, succession planning, separation).
- Develop and maintain registers, HRMS systems, policies, and procedures.
- Interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements, relevant legislation, and provide advice as required.
- Assist with HR and Payroll related queries, as required.
- Stakeholder relationship management.
**Essential Skills / Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources Generalist role.
- Experience with the administration of HR and IR strategies.
- Knowledge of relevant legislative, governance and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
- Experience in interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements and Enterprise Bargaining.
- Experience with HR systems and tools.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently using own initiative and within a cohesive team environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and manage competing priorities.
- The willingness and ability to assist a variety of stakeholders all at levels.
**Desirable Skills**
- Experience in utilities, resources, or construction industries.
- Experience in liaising and working with Unions, Workcover & the Fair Work Commission to deliver positive business and employee outcomes.
- Skilled and experienced in administering HR strategies in complex and diverse organisations.
