**Role Details**: The Authorising Officer is a role within Inclusion, Supports and Safeguarding and is accountable to the Senior Authorising Officer for:

- Supporting the education and training relating to the use of restrictive practices and promoting the reduction and, where possible, the elimination of the use of restrictive practices in the disability sector.
- Contributing to the development and establishment of effective partnerships with stakeholders.

**Special Conditions**: National Police Check required.

Employment-related Screening Check required.

Role Status: Term up to 31/01/2025.

Essential Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualification and/or current professional membership/registration relevant to Human Services field (such as psychology, allied health science, social work or relevant disability studies) or a related discipline.

**About the Business**:
Community Investment and Support is responsible for the provision of many vital services to the South Australian public to help build stronger and better-connected communities. The division provides screening of those who work with children or vulnerable people, as well as procurement of goods and services for the department, including important social services from the not-for profit sector.

The division also provides grants and commissions services to promote economic participation, as well as a range of concessions to the community, and interpreting and translating services to both public and private organisations.
