The Role

The Indirect Procurement Specialist will manage the applicable supply base and lead projects to support operational requirements.

The Cabrini Procurement Team has primary responsibility for management of sourcing and purchasing activity at Cabrini and has established processes to enable staff to focus on their core roles of health care by providing efficient access to the goods and services needed to perform their roles.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote and onsite at the Corporate Office in Hawthorn East.

Key responsibilities:
- Engage with Business stakeholders to align on requirements, priorities and work plan.- Engage with current and potential suppliers to understand the external environment, including technology trends and industry best practice.- Negotiate and arrange the best value goods and services to meet Cabrini’s needs by considering the best mix of cost, quality, functionality and sustainability (environmental, social, and economic) while considering availability, time and effort to source, and costs to manage the supplier.- Conduct a comprehensive commercial assessment of the Indirect category to identify efficiencies and opportunities to deliver value.- Work with the Indirect Category Lead in conjunction with internal stakeholders to validate identified opportunities and develop recommendations for improvement.- Ensure compliance with Cabrini’s risk and governance framework.

About you

Bring your Procurement knowledge and expertise to our Procurement team at Cabrini Hawthorn East, and deliver value to the business.

You will have:
- Sound knowledge and proven experience in commercial procurement practices.- CIPS accreditation (desirable), health industry experience is an advantage.- Strong commercial acumen.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Self-motivated and able to work independently.- Mature stakeholder management with the ability to understand and communicate business requirements.
